your PE exam preparation options

Self study without a review course
  • The seven subject areas may involve as many textbooks (~ 3000 pages)...an overwhelming amount of material.
  • Textbooks may not have many appropriate practice problems, i.e. take too much time. On the PE exam, you have 6 min/problem on average.
  • Study using only the NCEES Chemical Handbook doesn't give you problem solving practice.
  • You have no way to check your progress or practice using a timed exam.

Study using other courses
  • Too much time in class or watching videos (50+ hrs). You, not the instructor, need to practice solving problems.
  • Instructors often spend too much time on irrelevant derivation of equations.
  • Some courses cover material and problems that won't appear on the exam due to difficulty and time constraint.
Study using my course
  • Course consists of lessons that are designed to be completed in about 2 hours, with most of that time spent on working problems. Solutions are provided.
  • The review material is condensed  and targeted to (1) the problems that normally appear on the exam, and (2) problems that are designed to be answered using only the NCEES reference manual.
  • Timed and graded one-hr online quizzes are included for each module. These provide exam-like practice and a measure of your progress.
  • A timed full computer-based practice exam is included. *
  • You may contact me via email for questions regarding the course material.
